5 ways you cal tell you have arrived in Rome

You would think that it would be easy to know where you were but is that really true:

1. Rome is spelled Roma.
2. Even though most people speak English there is some Italian heard.
3. Most people look like they are from Toronto except they are all wearing sandles.
4. The hotel rooms are very small but quaint.
5. The money is Euros not dollars and a bottle of water cost 4 Euros or approximate C$6.00.

Tuscany, 20 friends, one villa

Yes, after a year of planning we have started to arrive. Pete and Barb are scuba diving in the Mediterranean until Saturday and 9 others have arrived in Rome from Toronto and Montreal.

The early arrivals to Rome spent the afternoon walking about. By the time Ralph, Linda and Alison arrived the early group was ready to retire.

Ralph, Linda and Alison went out for dinner in a cute little sidewalk restaurant where we had pizza and some house red wine which was Montepulcciano d'Abruzzo, Ralph's and Tanya's favourite dinner beverage, direct from Italy.

Tomorrow, Thursday, August 27, 2009 is the Vatican Tour. So, keep in touch for more adventure news.
